Khmer artisans are known for their bronze since the Angkorian period. Nowadays, the price of bronze has become unattainable for most of them and at the same time, old ustensils and objects are being sold at scrap price. We are melting the scrap to be able to cast newly designed objects. The method to melt the bronze is probably the same as it was centuries ago. The result is a plate of bronze, ready for melting and casting. Here is the process in images.
